Activities - Gardening

West Cork Garden Trail

This is an annual event which gives an opportunity to view some  diverse gardens in West Cork.
Many of the gardens are also open to visitors throughout the summer,  some are just open to the public during the Garden Trail. Some of the fees taken during the West Cork Garden Trail go to charity.

See their web site for full details.

The Youth Arts Advisory Committee

This rather strangely named organisation has also set up a web site In my opinion it looks like it was designed by a committee and has little real content. It has a splash page, a feature of web site design that has been discarded in most parts of the internet for over ten years and like the Garden trail Site above has no RSS feed . this means there is no opportunity to keep up to date if they ever do make any updates. It has the air of being something to do with the West Cork Arts Centre so probably best to check there for events although the WCAC site it's self has no feed for events so is rather limited in usefulness.

There was one item on YAAC web site about the Beara Youth Development Project:

I've copied it in full as there should probably be details on Beara.ie

The Beara YDP aims to enable young people aged 10 - 21 years old from the Beara peninsula and Bere Island to involve themselves consciously and actively in their own development and in the development of the local community.  Funded by Co Cork VEC and managed by Foróige, National Voluntary Youth Development Organisation, it provides a range of youth work services working directly with young people at individual, group and family levels, providing a variety of youth groups and activities.
